All these breast pumps are all Closed System.  It means that these models are designed to prevent milk backflow. Below are some other steps you may follow to avoid milk backflow:

1.      Adjust the pumping power to a lesser level if your breastmilk is relatively abundant or viscous.

2.      Try releasing the pressure between your breast and the silicone cushion if you notice that the milk is all gathered inside the flange and is not streaming down to the collection bottle.

3.      Do not overfill the collection bottle.  If the milk is goes beyond 100ml, change to a new collection bottle. 

BelleMa Melon Double (Piston Motor)

The BelleMa Melon Double has Anti-Backflow Design. Please follow these steps to prevent milk backflow:

1.       Adjust the pumping power to a lesser level if your breastmilk is relatively abundant or viscous.

2.       If you notice that milk has gotten into the tubing or got sucked into the flange, if you notice any part that is damaged or the flange damper is not installed correctly, please stop pumping immediately. Clean and air dry or replace with new parts prior to using your breast pump.

3.       Try releasing the pressure between your breast and the silicone cushion if you notice that the milk is all gathered inside the flange and is not streaming down to the collection bottle.

4.       Do not overfill the collection bottle.  If the milk is goes beyond 100ml, change to a new collection bottle.
